Heiko Heilmann

Biography

Heiko Heilmann’s bachelor thesis focused on the characterization of FPR agonists in bacteria
Protrusions. His master was the comparative analysis of ligand-dependent binding and activation of formyl peptide receptors. His research activities are currently divided into two areas: In the project “Peptide-based sensor platform for real-time immunodiagnostics” (PepSensE), he and his colleagues are developing a microfluidic system for the analysis of blood samples. He is also working on two projects in the field of infection immunology on the interaction of bacteria, coronaviruses and the receptor group of formyl peptide receptors (FPRs).
